David is a director and shareholder at Clinic 77. He is happily married to his life partner Tarsha (the brainchild behind Clinic 77) and has two awesome teenagers who keep him young at heart.

Davids’ experience within the AOD sector began firstly as a user of the services and he encountered first hand what it was like to be on the other side receiving support and help. David has incredible empathy and insight as to what it’s like to overcome those overwhelming obstacles which present themselves when starting out on one’s recovery journey. He absolutely resonates having walked many years of lived experience with addiction and more importantly his own recovery journey.

David’s journey working within the recovery sector began as a Peer Support Worker and saw him rapidly progress into more management-style positions from Team Leader to his current position of Service Manager. This role has him overseeing the daily running of an AOD/Mental Health organisation which operates in the Counties Manukau area. David is well known in the AOD sector and is excited and feels privileged to be actively involved in its’ development.

David is really passionate about walking alongside those in recovery and supporting people to find positive change, personal growth and adopting healthier lifestyle choices. He has valuable lived experience that coupled with extensive work experience in the recovery sector puts real validity to the positive voice and advocate he is for recovery.

When David isn’t working he can be found on the open road indulging in his  third love, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
